This is fantastic Tina, I love this look, bold and vibrant against a white background... perfect! Your pictures are really cute...

This Wacom tablet you speak of... is it just like a drawing tablet you connect to your PC? I had one you see and could never get to grips with it... so I gave up!... I am assuming it's the same thing, so well done you for producing this beautiful piece with one of those! salut

Thanks so much for your helpful comments. I really appreciate them. I am really looking forward to the next exercise. Not sure where my ideas are coming from yet. Maybe they will just come to me.... I hope.

Hi Spooksie

I think your picture looks so professional and I love the colour! And couldn't believe it when you mentioned that you used a drawing tablet, what editing software did you use? I'm hoping to get one for my birthday icon_flower

Thanks Jayt and Jilly for your comments.....it really helps you to gain confidence to move on the next brief.
Gee.......I used Photoshop with my Wacom. You may find it tricky at first but keep at it as it gets easier.
So nice of you to say it looks professional. I really learnt lots for next time and so I can only improve. Hope you enjoy using it as much as I did :D

Hi , This looks great. I also got a wacom tablet for Christmas along with Painter II software. I haven't had time to lay yet and thought it would take ages to produce something with them. Did you have no prior experience of using photoshop. It's amazing if you didn't and managed to produce this. I feel motivated to start. Its really very very good. I didn't know whether we could use digital, I didn't think ask.
Love it bounce

Hi Lynda

This was the first time I had used Photoshop. I kept going back to it and did a little each day. Once you get the hang of the layers and choose the correct pen/pencil format to use for work then you can mess around with it. Its amazing what you discover! I emailed Maggie at the start of the course to make sure that I could use digital and she said that was fine.
I hope you manage to get to grips with yours. It can be quite tricky at first getting used to drawing on the tablet whilst looking up at what you are drawing but it gets easier.
Thanks for those encouraging comments and look forward to seeing your work sunnyy

Hi Spooksie, really like your brief 1 - it's really clear and eye-catching. I love the mice characters too. I'm gonna have to check out those new media - the results are impressive!

Hi Tina - its hard to add anything more - this is very clear, well composed and appealing - the design looks like it will easily captivate a young child. Looking forward to your next piece of work - Mary sunnyy
